The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
𝒟𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓂𝓎 𝒾𝓂𝒶𝑔𝑒𝓈?
Our number 1 priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!
𝒟𝑜 𝐼 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝓌𝑒𝒶𝓇 𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓇𝒾𝑒?
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!
𝒟𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝓅𝒶𝓎𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝓃𝓈?
We offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot. After you pay the session retainer, you’ll be all taken care of until your ordering appointment which is 1-2 weeks following the shoot. You will then pay for the package collection and/or the digitals of your dreams. We take all major credit cards, do a 5% discount for any cash you bring, accept PayPal credit (which offers a 0% financing for 6 months), and have two different in house payment plans as well including pre-payment plan or post-payment plan.
𝐼𝓈 𝒽𝒶𝒾𝓇 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝑒𝓊𝓅 𝒾𝓃𝒸𝓁𝓊𝒹𝑒𝒹?
Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
𝒟𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒫𝒽𝑜𝓉𝑜𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓅 𝓂𝓎 𝒾𝓂𝒶𝑔𝑒𝓈?
I do edit for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent! I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!
𝒲𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝐼 𝒷𝓊𝓎 𝑜𝓊𝓉𝒻𝒾𝓉𝓈?
There are a few different places to buy from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a short list to choose from with different style and sizing! Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN”T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing you photos for the first so much better!

You will need to bring 4-6 outfits.
Upon booking I will be sending out a bunch of emails about what to wear and what to bring, where to shop, and what to look for. We can also help you choose items from our client closet. However, we do ask that you not rely on our closet and always bring a proper fitting bra — this is a great time to get fitted, and if you need recommendations, we’ve got you covered! Additionally, bring two styles of panties.
